Carefree migration
We have helped an important Italian port to migrate its operational database from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2019.
A version jump of this type is not easy: it must be done taking into account all the differences between the starting environment and the destination, both from a functional point of view and from a performance point of view.
Thanks to our tools, we are able to simulate the transition to the new version, identifying in advance the configuration that offers the best performance and implementing the tuning interventions before carrying out the actual migration.
Our experience allows us to carry out migrations of this type even in 24/7 environments where there are no maintenance windows, without having to intervene on the applications and without requiring service interruptions.
